Ch. 9

As we ran, I decided to say something. "Maybe if I were you, I would hide somewhere until I tell them that you're safe. I really don't want to start a fight."

Edward nodded in agreement and hid in a nearby bush. I ran and stopped when I got there. The Cullens were getting ready to leave. Emmett and Jasper were standing next to the jeep, Carlisle, Esme, and Rosalie were loading the van and Alice was sitting next to Bella, calming her down. Bella looked horrible. I could tell that she couldn't sleep well and she had tears coming down her face. I was now nervous on how to bring Edward here without scaring Bella to death. But he needed to be here for at least a couple minutes to explain everything.

I took a deep breath. "I have some news."

All of a sudden, everybody was in front of me, but not to close.

"What happened?" Carlisle asked.

I looked around at everybody. Alice looked like she knew what it was and Bella was alert, dying to know the news. "Now I don't want anybody to freak out or attack. I swear, he will not do anything. I talked with him and he has no intention on hurting anybody.... right now at least."

"Who are you talking about?" Emmett asked.

"I think you have a good idea who it is. I'll have him explain it." I looked at Bella with trustworthy eyes. "I swear Bella, and Alice will tell you the same thing, that he won't hurt you. I promise." After I said this, Edward appered from the shadows and stood a good distance from us.

Everybody froze. Rosalie, Emmett, and Jasper seemed cautious. Carlisle and Alice seemed calm. Esme and Bella were full of worry. Alice tried to soothe Bella as Carlisle put his arm around Esme's waist.

Edward walked forward and put both of his hands up. "I promise you that I won't hurt you. I came here to explain what's going on."

Emmett narrowed his eyes. "Are you sure?"

"I'm possitive," Edward answered.

As soon as we had everyone's attention, I motioned everyone to sit down and relax. They did and Edward and I sat down also. I decided I should start first.

"Alright. Right now, Edward's not under Naum's orders. This only happens between dawn and twilight. Otherwise, once twilight hits, Edward has no control and is now under total control of Naum. So right now, Edward can say what's going on without Naum's control."

Edward told everybody everything, skipping the relationship problem. I really didn't want anybody knowing about that.

Finally, Edward was done. "Here's what you need to do. I think the best solution is to split up. I was thinking that one group should go to Australia and stop Naum while the other group should go to Italy and warn the Volturi about Naum's plot. Also, that group can prepare with the Volturi to help defeat Naum. That would help."

"Alright," Carlisle agreeded. "And we could tell the other vampire covens from around the world about what's happening and team up. That can help our army."

Edward nodded. "Not bad."

We all planned on the groups. We decided, based on ablities, that Esme, Rosalie, Emmett, and Jasper will go to Italy while Carlisle, Alice, Bella, and I will go to Australia. Edward didn't like the idea of Bella putting herself in danger but I said that she would be better off with Alice and I. Jasper is to be the leader of his group while Carlisle is leader of ours.

Jasper's group was to take the jeep. Soon enough, they left so they can get there as soon as possible.

"So Naum don't suspect anything, I'll take a different route. When ever I get time, I'll give you some news. But after twilight.... you guys will be on your own. I may try to hurt you during night so be on your guard, and protect Bella. I don't know what I'll do."

"Okay. If we get there before you have to meet Naum, just tell us where to go, otherwise we'll do our best to figure it out," Carlisle said.

Edward nodded. Bella was next to me, since once we leave, I said I would carry Bella.

Before Edward left, he looked at us, mostly focusing on Bella. "Be careful." I knew he was talking to both of us. Edward ran off and we ran off in the other direction.
