What does the tulip mean?

What does this mean,

this tulip I hold in my hands?

It must mean something,

but what?

 

I hold it down,

the tulip leans down,

I think about my past events,

thinking that must be it.

 

My true love leaves,

my true friend betrays,

pain runs through my chest,

a hole is not sealed.

 

A petal falls from the flower,

this one's red,

but why just red,

when it's red, black, and white.

 

Red symbolizes love,

the petal falls, like my love,

the petal was a tear,

for lost love, like me.

i have always wondered what the tulip from new moon means. here's my thoughts about it, or simply bella's thoughts.....
