It's just a scratch

It's just a scratch

A Poem by Tara

Her shoes were gone
Fallen off or never had the chance to put them on
Her feet were cut and worn
From a barefoot jog or a terrified run
Her knees were scratched and grazed
From a stumble or being pushed
Her waist was bruised; black and blue
From an accident or an attack
Her arms were wounded and ripped
From a mishap or an assault
Her chest was slashed
From a fall or from a knife
Her face was bleeding
From a tumble or from a strike
Her lips were smiling
"It's just a scratch."

Fascinating read that leaves me wondering... Perhaps neither attack nor fall?
