![]() ListenA Poem by Aristede Craig JrListen by Aristede Craig Jr. on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 9:11pm and the world can’t take my whispers in their ear, like milk sitting out after eating cookies but I couldn’t finish I don’t seem to listen And yet I ask you too, I ask them to just open their ears Silent tears arent really silent listen You heard her crying out before she jumped and committed death With a child that never took a breath outside of herself And doctors saying it aint f*****g healthy But when the people yell help me Yall only hear them as they are drowning in the ocean floating motion.less As you admit and look back and say you know what she came to me he came to me I heard it , but it seemed it wasn’t of importance And then you cry hearing them cry over and over in the cycle of regret As she stood in the front you turned your back and she leaned to and leaned on By Edet Sira © 2011 Aristede Craig JrAuthor's Note
