My AngelA Poem by Solitary TravelerJust a dream, romantic prose to say what I feel, having come out of a long and bad relationship. The darkness has passed. My Angel In my dreams, an angel soars high Flying on invisible wings, a small smile Bright happy eyes, burning bright She laughs, always just out of reach. No malice in her gaze, only warmth Stepping lightly, skipping in the rain The earth cannot bind her, as free as the wind A shadow, barely seen. What brings the angel to my dreams? Is she taunting me, or luring me to my doom? Why do her words bring tears to my eyes? Hide from the truth she sees. Standing strong, bent, unbroken My tears are many, a river unbound Not swept away by pain. It is mine! I rule my heart! Don't I? Her song sings of love, free from pain A dream in shadow, but not forgotten A mist seen, but who can capture it? How does she see what I've hidden so deep? Who is this angel? Who invades my heart? Gentle laughter, dancing out of sight. The sky opens, warm rain pours from heaven. Tears of the angel, and love's gentle kiss.
