Loss of Beauty

Loss of Beauty

A Poem by Eden Reabelle
"

A poem about losing someone very close to me.

"
She was the brightest morning star,
The face of life.
They say that God takes all the good
Ones to keep for himself.
How selfish.

Generous, even when she could not give herself what she wanted.
Beautiful, her soul was a ray of light.
The true definition of Good.

Some people abuse the good,
They drain every inch of beauty.
Leaving them with ugly scars that cannot be covered with smiles nor laughter.

Voice of an angel, that called me her own.
Timeless beauty, her childlike curiosity dragged her down.
Once white and happy,
Now black and depressed.

We all know that you weren't like this.
You were daddy's girl,
A little ballerina.
When you walked in,
Everyone stood up to talk to you.
You were the face of life,
I'm sorry they took you away.

Death doesn't come with a warning,
I am still not able to cry.
You will forever be missed,
But even if you're gone I'm going to keep striving and driving for you.
You can live through me,
Through all of us.
All of us who loved you and still do.

My brightest, correction, our brightest morning star. You will forever shine in our hearts. For you will live on through all of us.

Remember, you left two angels to grace this world. And let me tell you, you'd be so f*****g proud of them.
