ask santa....

ask santa....

A Poem by Eddywards
"

there is only one thing I really wanted for christmas....

"

I waited in line
for santa
at the fiesta Mall
for at least
one hour
I was
the only 14 year old in line
waiting to sit on his lap
but I didn't care
I had a wish
something that
I couldn't ask my parents for
so insted
when I sat on the big guys lap
I whispered
"just let me get a glimps of my friend...
to know he's alright. Please?"
the guy playing as santa,
Who looked the perfect part,
smiled and tapped his nose
then sent me away
as I walked into the croud
I ran into someone
I looked up
it was you
you smiled and hugged me
and invited me for some hot chocolate
I quickly agreed,
since that was where I was supossed to meet my parents
in one hour.
as we walked way
I turned back
and smiled at the santa
he laughed and winked at me
but he was just a fake
or was he?
I guess there really is
a
santa.
And I believe.
