Aiyta's Journey.A Poem by Eddy JonesFollowing the rivers of life.Aiyta walked on listening to her inner being her soul far older than its years far reaching up to the earth's Zenith. To reach her haven her safe zone through which flowed the precious River Of Life. Sheltered by cliffs craggy and grey: a pounding surf threatening in volumes: a swollen strength threatening enticing in a deep crescendo. Barefooted she skips as sure footed as each forest dweller; inhaling appreciating the magic of the winds gently caressing her face and drying those salt laced tears. of the winds. Tasting the salt Aiyta finds a second strength urging prompting inviting inspiring onwards and upwards to follow the flow to arrive at the estuaries of her journey her choice. Rolling smoothed down stones smothered by spurts of foam filled jets to swirl in meandering worth around each jagged rock. Aiyta inhales filling her being to trust to follow her mentor her guide her River Of Life. Surrounded by nature's gifts those infant buds each satin laced blossom extending their worth to strengthen a sweet heart a heart full of love a soul so mature and to be filled with life's amazing sustenance. Feeling the need to learn to fly she climbs over life's boulders breaking through life's piercing thorns to win battles against life raging storms. Her aim filled with such meaning strength and conviction! Upwards she climbs at times clinging only by bruised and skinless fingertips but always clinging on for dear life. A heart urging a soul's wisdom. Aiyta's whole being pulsating with a deep pride like no other. Standing tall on her plateau looking down on her journey; Past events and people shrunk into almost invisible specks. Looking over at her estuary from now on knowing storms and obstacles await but now also knowing for sure her own strength. Knowing that her destiny lies so near so close trepidation and fear now replaced by pride and confidence. The confidence to find her estuary her destiny her all. © 2015 Eddy Jones |
