Absence X (untitled)

Absence X (untitled)

A Poem by Ed Rector

On morrow’s day I shall take leave
From my sweet heart that beats to you
And enter into absence once again
Away from the shine of life you bring
Into the distance of the untold
Where life begins with a point
And ends only when eternity flees
So from one chaotic speck in the air
To that which has sighed me a clue
It is forever to be told that even the gods
Don’t love you the way I do.

This is a lovely piece, and it is very beautiful, intense, and well written! I really enjoyed this, and will reread it again!
