Strange reminder

Strange reminder

A Poem by Ed Rector
"

first poem in a long time...

"
I was thinking my life stinks.
then I caught a wiff of you.
Thought I'd cut loose
that little voice, you hear a lot.

Everyone is dying, Some progress,
of Rational contentment
with some I'll notions
that the future "has" you.

Piggies got the bank,
loose change collection,
cancels my restrictions
of missing memories of you

life as a better memory
loose grips of life
death sometimes finds a spot
but life notions of you construing.

Yet, it shakes me from the core
out of mind and finally finding
what I need is to sore
and glide the whispers of time.

Infectious near my bleeding
life's coverup of flesh
Recovery of mislead hearts
who wish themselves the best.

Can I escape the tole of gravity,
heavy minded and outside the world,
another lost soul to flaunt
while we try to take hold.

I've tried and buried lies
lost words too many times
to see you, lost, without age
strange reminder of no cage

they sit you in a spot
go here and there,
authority really sucks.
But to the free, please be

Even my lines are cured
picked and delivered
to your role in these days?
Past times move on anyway.
