Self-PartialityA Poem by Ed RectorOf madness and love and their entwinement
A key to madness in ones mind,
That's been proven through out time, Is love be not for the tame, For love will drive one quite insane, And in ones ill-fated madness One entrusts their life unto it. Love be the only delusion worthy To be set upon the world freely. What love be truer than thy own Marks the words of all true lovers. What doth thou know of love? No trinket bares its name, As well as it is never quite the same. For if love and life were to be eternal, Oh what beauty would thee miss. We long for that which we lack, We forever want a state of bliss, but immortality be a certain peril. Angels, not mortals, be at a loss. For angels know no sorrows sigh, And know not the reasons why, The beauty of joy makes mortals cry. Love be a curse dooming one to another That sprouts in all the right weather. Much like a flowers blossomed peddle Love be superior until it withers. So cherish the curse, the maddening burst, For love doth not always last forever. For love be not like in ones dream. It be quite more than love would seem. © 2008 Ed RectorReviews
