Gambler

Gambler

A Poem by Ed Rector

Blues lyrics

"
Baby I'm a gambler
Baby I'm a gambler
Show your hand
I'll be your man

I'll play all my cards
Annie up and flip
Hold nothing back
And double down my chips

Cause baby I'm a gambler
Baby I'm a gambler
I'll take a chance on you
and bet that you will to

For I'm a sinner baby
and I'm a winner baby
I'll play until I'm broke
Baby it's no joke

Cause I'm a gambler
Baby I'm a gambler
Going to bet on us
I'll play until I bust

Just deal the cards
And play it large
it's all about the game
Not the riches or the fame

Cause baby I'm a gambler
Baby I'm a gambler
Yeah baby I'm a gambler
Baby I'm a gambler

I like your use of repetition to drive home the fact that you are a gambler.... there should be no reason for her to bring that fact up in an argument a year from now cause you warned her.... your rhyme scheme is simple which makes it easy to understand and really easy to read... I also liked how you used gambling terminology to convey your message.
