Derelict of Love

Derelict of Love

A Poem by Ed Rector

Night time doeth bring itself fallowed by each day
And love doeth flow into a flood of the river banks of men
In their souls and hearty woes they prosper again and again
As for love itself men do know only of their own
And derelict love is found on the often leading to hearts to harden

Abandonment is a bitter sip of tea on an any afternoon
But when one doeth find a lover to love them so
Theyre better off than we the lonesome wanderer like me
As for the day and for the night either time is just as right
To meet a lover to be as long as their your wish to see

For love doeth bring a sorrowed man joyous to times to be had
Whether the man has already walked hand in hand with love
Or if it be his first time in which I grieve for his future sorrows
And although the derelict of love doeth bring us many woes
When love doeth shine its truly divine no matter where it goes
