The death of love

The death of love

A Poem by Ed Rector
"

Pt. 10/10 of my 2 year poem Absence

"
A hilarious death an ironic death a wrongful death
A worthy death a simplistically complicated death
A world without time for grievances of deaths

Obscene foot prints leading to the gates of wrath
As we all aimlessly slink towards the next crop
to be reaped into our last sorrow of endless tears
To be sent down to hell six feet below the ground

Aw, to mourn the loss of love

A day a week a month a year and so on
Nothing changes everything changes
Its the same thing there was before

Now theres just a missing piece of the puzzle
And in-turn the picture of life cant be completed
One must find the missing piece before life becomes
like ones first love and vanishes, never to be heard again

The name remains, the body still lies mysterious
Only to be found in memory recalled by absence

I like this work a lot. You have a wonderful detachment which offers the reader a larger vision. I like that a lot. This work is especially so. Great work.

wow i like your poetry expecailly this piece just the fact it hit the point that first love does vanish and yet the person's name could bring them back temporarily. ^-^
