Junkies Mess

Junkies Mess

A Poem by Ed Rector
"

Pt. 3/10 of my 2 year poem Absence

"
The thoughts of you and what Id like to do
Have been long forgotten
New imagery fills the mind
Like the day the sunset shined
As bright as the noon sky

Much like our love of yesterdays
How dreadful the notion is
That I can not be with my love
For to love a love is wonderful
Unless that love has turned fiction

To only be able to be with you
In dreams and in day gazes
Is a mere mad mans proposal
It sets the tone for depression
Oh to never be able to hold the hand

Of the one you truly care for
Or kiss upon the lips that I truly miss
The ones that were once always there
This absence isnt fine
Our bodies need to be entwined

As well as our hearts as they were
Back in the days
in which the days stood still
And the our perfect times
Would have matching scenery

With one anothers eyes
seduced into each others
I can only imagine a junkie
Having withdrawals such as mine
-Thoughts return to you-
