Dwell within anewA Poem by Ed RectorDirty tyranny suicide birthDwell in the thought of character flaws Where we shine like coal being mined And the only law is you have to find Ash in a grave by birds eye. Now think of a clue that beckons to you Of all that has been left to rot, But find yourself at ease with the rest That we all die in this world of ours. Living like there's something is the better Than nothing ever working for a smoke, To true addiction's laughter of yourself, With ease this will surely slope. While others may act nonchalant or abrupt Know you are much more than a joke And as others ask why you may not know For it doesn't matter of the batter In this poisosonous concocture you set aside As long as youleave it be and never drink The sip that leads to suicide. Fit the part dwell deep in art And find yourself in a world anew Clear the head of what should be dead And give yourself livelyhood. Yet with sights scorched in the mind As troops are sent smoke begins Air concaves outward in heeps of why A trooper of lost cause goes home Over the ringer but not all make it back While piles of work are lost to the clause The cover was everything to the cause The skyline rose and the air was tight the final justification for a remarkable fright In a zone unfit for any such sights And as the pollution of disease bowed it's ugly head The rest of the body was gripping for life from the dead. © 2014 Ed Rector |
