The stars aligned

The stars aligned

A Poem by Ed Rector
"

About a new women in my life.

"
twirling within the vapors of gratitude,
while smoke lifts from the body,
I find myself intoxicated by her.
Free falling as much as we can
We danced together beneath the moon
as if the stars had aligned
and as it happened my spirit was lifted
Releasing me of my shooting pain.
You and me may not last forever
Or maybe love will truly conquer
But only time can tell us now.
Engaging in angel wings with a chula
That causes blasphemous repetition.
All of which are barred away from peace,
because of gods transgressions,
Yet when were close to each other
I am pleased to hear your heart beat.
