Start this fire

Start this fire

A Poem by Ed Rector

My blood flows like gasoline ready to set this town on fire.
There's no drug to conjure love. With you as my esteemed lover
I can siphon my dreams into a reality that burns sweetness
Like a pinata struck down. Your sway is like a kite
that gets caught in an updraft, scorching the heavens
While your touch is down to earth I grasp it so it does not fade
So i can tell that you are real And not a figment of imagination
I am glad i have found you and you have found me
With blood that flows like gasoline ready to set this town on fire.
