A Poem by EdDarkow

Water froths and churns,

Night twisting beyond.

Hope flees willingly,

Waves splitting sand.

Feet getting wet,

In boots of cement.

Wow... for some odd reason I am having the most morbid thoughts. Like say a dead body at the bottom of the ocean with boots filled with cement to hold him there. At least that is what I see when I read. Very well done. I honestly really love this piece. ^^

i like this. giving oneself to the ocean, its kind of dark and spiritual at the same time. great diction and imagery, really like the visual of the sand becoming cement shoes. very well done, and welcome to the cafe.
