The Haystacks and the Rain

The Haystacks and the Rain

A Poem by Requs

The haystacks and the rain….

You conquered

Over all

You conquered

The blank announce

Loves denouncement

Tower spirals only downward for you

Inclement feelings of dementia overcome you

Becomes you, the power effected your head

All serve to fall

We’ll evaporate to seal the deal

All kneel to fall more; further

Feathers to slowly wave back, forth, and back

With sharp edges; feather shears for thrill

Or….

All to serve to fall to evaporate

The thrill

As rain would disappear into the earth

We’ll become empty silhouettes to you

Entertaining in the front of your hearth

Outlines of former worth

Power ends

The haystacks begin

All tied up accomplishments

Behind a sad man

As embitterment frightens; then

The weapon…

A pitchfork to stab at past

Sad, gone; everyone ran away

The haystacks and the rain

And overall, the thrill became the weapon

That’s how power ends
