The Fragility of LifeA Poem by Requsa typical versus mine (perspective)Being eternal can be considered a type of perfection But the fragility of life is like a glass cannon This is a pessimistic perspective... A person uses intelligence for luxury; for deaths delay Luxury even still awaits inevitability A short longevity When a person stays within lives decay The clock mourns, the seconds count When the predator starts to chase And the prey becomes the hunt The passing of that breath Awakens an ancient fire A new life which is damned to bare Lifelong hurt within a candle Lying upon religious spire A game of survival, a food chain that’s dependent on myths A risk yet risk-less life Of prevention and preservation In essence, a really long thought of personal approval and personal care One really long bore and stare... On the other hand which is better? A consciousness doomed to be withered? Creations evisceration; our rusted dagger The silent, cold, ear beating, pulse piercing, life long awaited rusted shank? Or a brief awakening out from the nether? To experience, signify, and share I think it's the purpose of existence The reason for joy-gasmic balance A purpose to create something eternal Love, an impression, malice, you can decide At the least I can think and I think it's an invaluable luxury I will confide within myself And I will choose to go along for the ride It’s fun, free, stress-less, worthless, meaningless for all like myself And dangerous as I hoped it to be The world is mine Fragile, ripe, decaying and kind I hear each rhythmic chime This is my time © 2010 RequsAuthor's Note
