Thoughts

Thoughts

A Poem by Emma Claire

I’ve heard this song before

I’ve crossed this street before

I’ve spoken these words before

But the thoughts being invoked this time…

They’re different than before

An overwhelming feel that cannot be expressed with vocabulary

And no way to channel through explanation

A frustrating dilemma

Feelings of such extremities simply have no words to describe them

Nor do they have a beginning

or end

They leave you speechless and unsure of how to resume life

                              How rude

When you listen to the song again

Cross the road again

Speak the same words again

The emotions and thoughts are simply

gone

--particles in your mind that are amongst too many other thoughts to find and appreciate again

Again

Things don’t happen again

Things happen once

It’s in that moment you have to capture it

Or you can let it float by and watch

the little trail it leaves

The moment has gone.

I liked this, i like how its telling me that when you do something and then you do it again you dont feel the same way you did the first time because youve already expirienced it.
