Dance of Fools

Dance of Fools

A Poem by Emma Claire

I've developed a desire to
dance in the rain--
to allow droplets to
kiss my skin
and blur my vision

Splish Splash

I dance for an audience of
one--
a giddy performance that leaves me
dizzy and drunk,
and silly

Slpish Splash

I feel childish, I feel naive, I giggle
I look down to see my shoes
muddy, my laces untied,
I better be careful, I might
slip, trip, and fall

But these thoughts of precaution
wash away --
it's much more fun
twirling...
twirling in the rain.

Lovely imagery. I could see you dancing and you make me want to dance as well in that splish splash rain.
Wonderful write :)
