But A Vase

But A Vase

A Poem by Emma Claire

She will remain but a vase

Beautiful, if such a word to be used lightly

Inviting love of a variety,

for belief of a dull appearance without

Though false is Belief

Not would be a forgotten beauty,

but a hollow that refuses to be filled

For apocryphal scents are second nature

If she refuses the patience for authenticity,

she will remain but a vase.

This had such a lovely metaphor in it and was really well penned. The flow was also quite elegant.

Emma you have a lovely style, it's reminds me of Sara Teasdale. This piece is wholly poetic and gives you enough of the glimpse of impression that you know you are witnessing something very fine.

This is an excellent piece of art, and like myself, whomever else should read it, will find thoroughly enjoyable.
