I will miss you

I will miss you

A Poem by Daniel Eckert
"

Another shot at poetry

"

I will miss you;
Like a blister on the back of my ankle
Throbbing with my every step
I will miss you

I will miss you
as much as I love
the moments I spend
waiting on a woman I cannot stand
to emerge from a bathroom
with a freshly peed on stick in her hand
I will miss you

I will miss you
Like a vampire
Misses the sun
I will miss you

I will miss you
not the lies
and not the pain
but all the way until the end
there has been
four words I couldn’t help but say
I will miss you

ha... the sarcasm speaks to me... I love you, I hate you... I can't live without you.. the examples you showcased were entertaining and affecting... real, raw, and really amusing... Reminds me of one of my favorite songs by Halestorm... "I miss the misery".. love angry girl rock... nicely written... I enjoyed:)

Like the coyote would miss the Road Runner... because without each other, like it or not, they are incomplete. I like this piece; a wry not to the reality of some relationships.

*Ugh - typo - that word should be nod. You are welcome, Daniel!
Great write.
Looks like a song with four words 'I will miss you' in the focus.
Hope this indication of a probable case going to be happened in the future has not yet started and hope the cause of 'I will miss you' will never happen.
Appreciate your nice efforts.

You are welcome.:)
I like the complete poem. I feel little love and a lot of need for great separation. I like the flow of thoughts and the honest feel of the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Call me modest but "excellent" is so far from what I believe my word play can yet achieve. Although.. read more

Strange, strange how even the dark seems attractive in the daytime... tis called a love-hate relationship and, in this case, written very finely, powerful expressions tho somehow simple. Fine writing here, truly.

Thank you very much, you are too kind.
This is great, emotion packed in situations that convince, the kind of poetry I like, well observed, concrete, to use I phrase I like, the truth in things.

Thank you, I appreciate the kind words.
i like the conflicting tone in this...

despite all the things i can't stand about you, you have grown to be such a part of me, that if you were gone, i would miss you, despite myself, i would miss you....despite you, i would miss you....

maybe i like blisters...maybe i like disintegrating in the sun, maybe i thrive on pain...

maybe without you, i might not write poetry...

so as sheryl crowe sang..."lie to me, i'll believe you"

because i need you, despite myself and yourself.
