Stand by your door

Stand by your door

A Poem by Ebs Newman
"

Lyrics. Written for you. You know who you are.

"
When you're afraid of sleeping
When you're too tired to dream
When you lay your weary head down
The darkness comes

When your too tired to breathe

I will stand here and fight
For your simple right to smile
And I will scream and I will shout
'Till something touches you
And pulls you out

And as the daylight finally breaks through
And you wake up, so many minutes, what do you do
Your body's aching, fear runs through your veins
I don't know what your running from

I'll stand here just the same

And I will stand by your door
I'll tell the demons they ain't
Welcome here no more
It may not, seem like much
But I will stand by your door

Your in the darkest place
You can't even see four inches in front of your face

When your too tired to breath

I will stand here and fight
Scream and shout
Something will reach out
We will pull you out

I will stand by your door
The darkness ain't welcome here

No more
