A Little Science, a Little Philosophy and an InconclusivenessA Story by EbruSThoughts on the purpose of life, the big question :)
Everything in life seems to have regularity. Every argument should have an absolute position in a certain plan. New arguments should not contradict with the old plan, though they can only enhance it. However, this enhancement process is really difficult. It is like taking a puzzle and rearranging it by trying to fit all the pieces, including the new piece, in by trial and error because the location of the missing piece may not be known all the time. Also, this puzzle is not two dimensional, that is all pieces do not have a fixed number of neighbouring pieces. The neighbouring pieces are unknown, so we have to find them without even knowing their number. Thus, we cannot be hundred percent sure whether all the neighbouring pieces are found or not. Then "satisfaction" comes into picture. It is really important that this feeling is based on scientific principles. When there exists no more questions, this means the "satisfaction" has taken place. However, we should always check for any other possible question marks. That indicates an all-time occupied brain.
Well, what is the reason behind seeking this regularity? Having been informed about life or gaining a purpose to our purposeless life? I think, mostly the latter. It can be considered as a hobby, an act for relief, maybe a precaution for not gaining wrong ideas a purpose of life. If we ask 'What is the purpose?' , there will not be any answer yet. At this point, we conclude that maybe there is no purpose. Does this hurt? Yes. I do not have much ideas about the reason why it hurts. Maybe, it could be a problem about the functioning of our brains. Nonetheless, we do not have any proof because we do not have any other brains to compare. To conclude, the life is not all questions and answers. In fact, they are entertainment stuff constituted afterwards. If there is no answer yet, maybe it is a sign of the question being unqualified. © 2013 EbruS |
