I'm Here, But You're Not

I'm Here, But You're Not

A Poem by Razorblade Kisses

  I can feel your green
  eyes staring at my back.
  I can hear your voice
  echoing through my ears.
  You are here,
  you are real,
  you never left
  at all.
  You stayed here
  in my heart.
  I now can feel your
  body moving past mine in
  a rush and I can
  hear your laughter.
  You don't see me.
  You don't notice me.
  I am just another picture
  on a wall to you.

I like the strong and honest emotion in the poem. A old Leonard Cohen song called "Finger prints". Every time we allow someone to touch us. Their touch is remembered and put in a drawer for storage. I like the ending to this outstanding poem.
