A Newer Testament

A Newer Testament

A Poem by Earthrise
"

it's really simple, after all

"
Only, only, ever only
The way that nature sees itself.
Humble, yes, but never lowly-
A selfless pride that must be felt.

Think not yourself above your neighbor,
But keep your neighbor humble, too.
Give not your soul to gods or strangers,
Nor think that souls belong to you.

I loved this. Your words are so wise and true and are ringing with the Universe’s words. It is simple, isn’t it? I think I know what you mean with this poem. I feel a sense of peace and respect with this. Everything we need is here, with us and it’s a blast when we make the most of it. Thank you for sharing. I also adored the title of this poem, extremely clever.

There's a lot of wisdom in these words of yours. Everything we need to know about living is explained to us by nature. Whether we choose to listen is another thing. Thank you for sharing your poem with us.
