Wrong and Blind

Wrong and Blind

A Poem by Earl Musick J

Wrong and Blind

He thought it was gone but he was wrong and blind,
The way he felt, the feeling he thought was right;
he thought it washed away with the waves in the middle of the night,
But it came back when he saw that small amount of light in her eyes;

His soul began to drown upon the inside as it cried those hidden tears,
absorbed the pain, wishing that it could have danced with her in the rain one last time;
wishing that it could hold her, as she drains her feelings from her eyes;
wishing to tell her that everything will be ok, just to see a smile on her face;

His heart was just a hollow space wanting to dance to the same rhythm as hers;
wanting to feel the love that it had before it became empty and sore;
wanting to become red again and no longer blue, as it wishes for a second chance;
even though there wasn’t a first;

After a long amount of time, pain and misery he thought it was all over as a new life began;
things started to change, feelings started to fade away, but he was wrong and blind;
when he saw her for the first time, after so many days, that spark lit as he still
saw that small amount of light in her soul; which wasn’t there in her eyes;

His soul begins to drown upon the inside as it cries those hidden tears,
Absorbs the love still here, wishing that it could dance with her in the rain for life;
Wishing to hold her throughout the day and night, as she sends her love from deep within;
Wishing to tell her I love you, to where she can actually hear it;

His heart is still just a hollow space wanting to dance to the same rhythm as hers;
Wanting to feel the love that it needs in order to survive,
Wanting to become whole again and no longer in pieces, as it rebuilds stronger;
Even though it’s still weak;

After all the amount of pain and misery he felt, he thought it wouldn’t come back,
he thought his life would change, feelings would change but he was wrong and blind;
Love healed into love even after so much pain; tears washed away the tears of hurt
So he could feel the love once more before he felt the pain again; somewhere
Along the line the love is wrong and blind.
