It Needs To Be

It Needs To Be

A Poem by Earl Musick J

A lot of people out there want to see
things develop right in front of them
rather then through something else,
but sometimes it needs to be;

it’s better to watch a child grow in person
then having pictures to read,
better to have friends by your side
then on the phone,
better to have family when you need them
while they are still home,
but sometimes goodbye needs to be;

when there’s frustration arguing and hate
in the inside its best to leave something’s behind;
turn off the light and close the door
store the keys and park the car
miss the parties celebrate another time
and take your soul to see something different;
it clears the eyes opens the mind,
and lets the end begin a new beginning;

it’s better to see life through pictures then nothing at all
better to talk through a signal then all words being mute
better to have a home to return to instead of the streets to rome;
but sometimes goodbye needs to be said
to start a better life, have loved ones with you
even when there’s a distance; but I would rather have that distance,
the pictures, a strong signal and
the fact that Ill return home one day
then to have nothing at all;

It’s a second chance to make things right
a stronger feel for freedom,
a journey that leads to somewhere
rather then nowhere, so I say goodbye
knowing that Ill return one day
then saying nothing at all
and just leaving life behind.

"it's better to see life through pictures then nothing at all better to talk through a signal then all words being mute better to have a home to return to instead of the streets to rome; but sometimes goodbye needs to be said"

Those are my favorite parts. I like the comparison/contrast.
