Clasp this grasp

Clasp this grasp

A Poem by Earl Meek

So do I crawl from here on bloodied knees?
Or do I stay within the last embrace,
to carry and to take?
Surely hurt can't last my lifetime.
Surely tears are dried to husk.
Surely love still counts the most.

A strange obsession, hands to reach.
I'm lead and bronze
though lost beneath.
Push me far to test each fear,
I promise I won't leave you here.
You remain my darling,
through storms, through years.
Through every heart break,
ache, each take,
each barren fall beneath,
no break.
