A Quatrain in 5 parts. History in the making

The best sins come in original

Or is it something else worth less?

Seeing is in the eye of the beholder

Or is it beauty or something worse?

No one is alike when they are different

Never the same when they are changed

There are two kinds of people in the world

Both of them will remain nameless

If you have thoughts original

Please keep them to yourself

In a jar far from the mainland

On a shelf for fermentation

One idea can change the world

Come in circular or oval, smooth as opal

Grown in mushrooms dark

Pop with energy when exposed to light

All things being equal means something

Antiques for instance keep equilibrium

History makes shapes, mistakes by aging

Placing values on the rust, the same, mundane

"Both of them will remain nameless" is the line that replays in my mind. What you've captured here is the sad but true reality of "originality"... over the span of time, millennia, it matters only to the originator. We are nameless, faceless specs of mere matter in a universe of "originals." A remarkable, precise work that speaks for itself.

What truth in that last stanza! Time neatens originality into labels tied somewhere to prove their existence.. how sad is that. Originality can be booed or blessed, seems you need find a shelf for yourself and pray nobody notices and evaporates into the more and more polluted.

Your writing makes a half awake mind sizzle.. sip coffee and wonder why you've not had more reviews.
