Evolution Of A SmileA Poem by Earl SchumackerDon't mess around with Patty.Tea pot Patty slurps her ginger tea Whiskey with opioids mixed within it A cup of pleasure there for company Poor bar stool could break in two With Patty and her tonnage on it A lit cigar dangles from thick lips She was born upside down with it When a doctor slapped She slapped back Put him in the hospital for his insolence A convenience since he was already there For this emergency with tender loving care Not foreseen or known beforehand Or was it a back hand that landed him In traction instead of out there golfing She continues drinking assorted teas Don't mention doctors around fat Patty It could evoke a joke or something mean Don't even thing about her portly size Or zip code being issued in her name In honor of her state of mind and weight It could elicit a response or something worse The evolution of a smile hard at work Authors Disclaimer: The author wishes to distance himself from the name "Patty" and "zip codes" since he does not know of any persons or entities with those names. In light of the new religions of socialism and related politics, the author wishes to distance himself even further, say Mars and beyond. He wants to apologize in advance to all snowflakes and their kind who might be offended by such matters as weight or zip code size insults taking place within the confines of this story/poem.
