Can't Find The Words

Can't Find The Words

A Poem by Earl Schumacker
"

Desert power and discovery of lost love

"
To express, to say, how much I care for you
Words hide themselves between the deserts sanity
Sands never settle as simple missing particles
Grains beat their brains of white above dust storms at night
Brought on in pain from missing parts escaped The heart is lost somewhere out there Reminders of stinging tears through mind and flesh Dried and lost in the shifting moving landscape
Fleeing with the ghostly void when you are gone Sun beats down the senses No longer falls on your golden hair and cherry smile Or bounces off oasis waters blue with kind reflections Deep in love with you Dark comes on sand storms to take the lovers Rages against the landscape empty nest of comfort Search lights can’t find the remnants of your soul Buried over times kind pleasure Sentiments of love phrases lost in space Fragrances escape into the cosmic bliss in distances Forever gone, far reaches yet to be defined or born Ride on lifted words to sing their hearts desire The senses take their time to find their friend Is she there by the dunes or under them? Where is my love at times like these? To express, to say the words how much I care Somewhere covered in white in this world or in another My lover yearns to hear these words not yet discovered
Can't find the right ones that should be said
The sojourn must start first inside my head
The desert and my love won't wait forever

Thé imagery is picturesque
Really beautiful
Oh how The desert has wonders That captures a lovers heart
So vast and consuming in Its Ways
The search leaves The mind thursty of any articulations
Words dry out

That is true love

lovers trudge on ..thru all those waves of storm and hard hitting sand ..some don't have a thought at all to even attempt to express such deep emotions ...they are the ones who are truly buried deep .. arid and burning in the scorch ... i think the desert is a very good place for one who travels ... miraculous savings, unlooked for friends ... that deep blue oasis ... ahhhhhhh! i enjoyed reading .. closing two lines woke me from my reverie ... good luck in this search my friend! :)
