Awaiting

Awaiting

A Poem by Eagleclawpoetry
"

The girl is a representation of my life story written in a nutshell. Though she isn't me, she is me as well.

"
She sits on her porch, awaiting a savior.
A poor little girl, someone please save her.
Her home life;
a wreck.
She constantly frets,
about going back home.
Her social life,
ruined,
from choices she made.
Many of thoughts tell her to run 'way.
But here she sits, alone on her porch;
awaiting for someone to save her from something worse.

Very deep. Very moving. Not often will I find something this real. "Awaiting a savior," really resonated with me. I feel that, to some extent, we all have this timid child in us longing for rescue. It's natural to want reassurance and safety in this world. As stated before, I loved the depth here. Great read.
