Funeral

Funeral

A Poem by Eagergreen
"

An incomplete poem but hopefully I can get some help to make it a little better

"
The sun is shining
warming the Earth
just not the body
which sleeps in the box
no one weeps for her
no one wonders why
I hold my husband's hand
and look at my casket
with a gentle squeeze
he reassures me
now we can move on
I throw a handful of dirt on my coffin
with my past
my struggles
my pains
and we bury it in the Earth
which is warmed by the sun

from what I understand in this poem, it is a burial for pains and struggles....well my opinion is this - I think the past is the best coffin to carry pains and struggle.... good write.

It's just a burial of your past no matter what is inside
