I Am Your Ruler

I Am Your Ruler

A Poem by Eagergreen
"

We don't rule ourselves at times usually because someone else is deciding who is

"
You all work for me
there's no time to be free

I am the stone you are the river
I will take all from you heart and soul

My tongue is a blade
slicing into your skin

I'm am the sun and you are my planets
have life but do not live it just watch them

Wrap your self in plastic
then I'll put you in a box

You all work for me now
curtsie, kneel, and bow

I liked the idea of an omniscient presence presented in the poem and the vague descriptions future showed that idea. although personally I felt the sixth stanza was a bit lacking compared to the rest of the poem but overall it was good
