A Lavender Hall and Mahogany Doors

A Lavender Hall and Mahogany Doors

A Poem by Eagergreen
"

Open the door to speaking your mind and comment

"
I walk down a lavender hallway
with dark mahogany doors

The hall is long and quiet
dim lights hang on the walls

I try each door unsure
of which will open

The newest one I opened
let me into a forest

The trees reach the clouds
and the soil is litter with leaves

The birds sing
songs of nature, art, and self awareness

I have been in this room for many months
lost in harmony as if it were possible

I am lost in the trees and foliage
taught by creatures and plants

The true power of nature
the raw beauty of wood and flesh

It is a joyous poem full of blessing for anyone that reads. You and I have a great love of nature in common and oh how you expressed it so well in this poem; from the beginning I am intrigued and taken on a journey; the images you painted are vivid to me from the hallway and the painted lavender walls to the forest and as if in a paradise a maze you have entered full of fantasy, dreams, life and love, The true power of nature, the raw beauty of wood and flesh. Well done. Keep writing and thank you so much.
