The Dove Invasion

The Dove Invasion

A Poem by Eagergreen

That moment when
the world places
a bomb beside your walls
blowing them open
you stand ready
to fight off all
the scary monsters

You're terrified
sitting in your castle
and then it happens
a single dove flies in
and you stare at it

And you realize
it'll all be okay
you rebuild your
walls and hold
onto the dove

As a reminder
you're not half bad

The Dove is an amazing topic,I once taught a Sunday School class on it.A dove was what brought forth the hope of land to Noah,a spirit descended from Heaven in the form as a dove upon the head of Jesus when baptized by John the baptist.A dove was often used for sin offerings for the childern of Iseral ,but no more mentions of Doves after Jesus's babtisim because he is the dove that brings us hope and he is the offering for our sin.Very good poem God bless
