Deep Puddle

Deep Puddle

A Poem by Eagergreen

You look at me and see
a puddle after a short
sprinkle of rain

You go to step through
me and fall into my
unexpected depth

Maybe one day you'll
stop judging people
who look shallow

I may talk about vain things
but I can talk about all
sorts of things as well

Because I'm a person not
a stereotype or a doll

You can't stuff me in a box and label me
because I'm a unique human being
