a monologue from a script i am writing.

Life
its what it is
you can love it or hate it

but when a person's worth is explained by a few simple qualities such as; looks, popularity or personality.

Mankind must take a step back and realise what it's become.

When groups of people are led by leaders who promise one thing but do another.

Where there are people who punish others for having an opinion.

There are those that say fighting is just human nature.

We are no better then the animals we slaughter for food or the predators that feed on them.

Humans see themselves as the smartest species on earth and yet the human race destroies not only themselves but the animals that occupy the land in which they do battle.

The religions we have, swear an afterlife full of happiness to thosee which follow them and an eternity of pain and misery to those who don't. We fight over things that can be traded or payed for for and hide behind lies of searching for weapons of mass destruction or other such concoctions. We must realise that the end of the world will not come at the hands of nature but by our own stupidity. the road that mankind is paving is not for a better tomorrow but for our own end. We are only a footnote in the book of time, this race will not be missed.

This world will thrive without us.
