Broken Glass

Broken Glass

A Poem by Maria Isabella

(1st Verse)

Lift her up high

Drop her off at the top

Fall to her death

Not the kinda man I thought of

Building me up with those sweet words cascading from your lips

The way you kiss me, touch my hips, fulfill my every wish

I’m so oblivions to your lies, I’m blind ….

(Hook)

And when you’re sneaking out the window

I know what’s in a name

Now I know just why they call it

Why they call it window pane

(Chorus)

My heart, you’ve destroyed

Pour in the champagne

‘Cause the girl some pain

In the dark, use her as a toy

Shatter the glass

Shatter her heart

You’re the man that broke me like glass …

(2nd Verse)

Give her wings to fly

Then just shoot her down

The things you say

Especially when she’s not around

Building me up with those sweet words cascading from your lips

The way you kiss me, touch me, hold my hips

I’m so waking up for the very first time ….

(Hook)

And when you’re sneaking out the window

I know what’s in a name

Now I know just why they call it

Why they call it window pane

(Chorus)

My heart, you’ve destroyed

Pour in the champagne

‘Cause the girl some pain

In the dark, use her as a toy

Shatter the glass

Shatter her heart

You’re the man that broke me like glass …

(Bridge)

Like a stone, thrown

From a crown, smashing down

Shattered apart

You’ve broken my heart …..

(Chorus)

My heart, you’ve destroyed

Pour in the champagne

‘Cause the girl some pain

In the dark, use her as a toy

Shatter the glass

Shatter her heart

You’re the man that broke me like glass …

This is really good! Makes me think of Evanescence and Panic at the Disco a bit if you're familiar with those bands.

Yeah....love the heavier-emo style lyrics.
