Teardrops (From My Heart)

Teardrops (From My Heart)

A Poem by Maria Isabella

(1st Verse)

Smiles, but no joy

All the while people seem to enjoy

This life, don’t know why

You show me the right

And I’ll show you the wrong every time …..

(2nd Verse)

So what is that feeling you call peace

Tell me, ‘cause I don’t understand

When my life is falling apart at the seams

And I can’t even find the strength to stand …

(Pre-Chorus)

Sleepless dreams

Lonely nights

Staring at the shadows on the ceiling

Searching for that moonlight

Bloodstained sheets

Empty days

Staring at faces that surround my mind

Stumbling through a daze

(Chorus)

I’m soaked, drowning

It’s over, no hope, resounding

Drop in the ocean, miles apart

These are the teardrops that come from my heart

I’m soaked, drowning

It’s over, no hope, resounding

Drop in the ocean, miles apart

These are the teardrops that come from my heart

(3rd Verse)

Hellos, insincere

Shadows on the window panes

This life, don’t know how

You say I should be grateful for what I have

But you wanna know why I complain

(4th Verse)

It’s this feeling you call peace

Please explain it in black and white

When my life is falling apart at the seams

And you’re telling me everything will be alright …

(Pre-Chorus)

Lonely nights

Staring at the shadows on the ceiling

Searching for that moonlight

Bloodstained sheets

Empty days

Staring at faces that surround my mind

Stumbling through a daze

(Chorus)

I’m soaked, drowning

It’s over, no hope, resounding

Drop in the ocean, miles apart

These are the teardrops that come from my heart

I’m soaked, drowning

It’s over, no hope, resounding

Drop in the ocean, miles apart

These are the teardrops that come from my heart

(Bridge)

To put into words

All the pain and the hurt

To try to comprehend

All the thoughts that are in my head

I’m lost, no direction

All I can see is pain and rejection

Sleep on the noise

That same old cruel voice …..

(Chorus)

I’m soaked, drowning

It’s over, no hope, resounding

Drop in the ocean, miles apart

These are the teardrops that come from my heart

I’m soaked, drowning

It’s over, no hope, resounding

Drop in the ocean, miles apart

These are the teardrops that come from my heart
