Looking through the pane of glass

Catching the reflection of the sunlight

Noticing the waves and imperfections

That dance in the light

 

Stepping back makes them blend

Into the glass once again

But doesn’t make them disappear

 

Focusing on the crack

That runs the length

Of the pane

Wondering how much more

Pressure it can take

Before it breaks
