JournalA Story by EJ NorrisThis isn't really a story, this a journal entry where I share some insights on my walk with Jesus Christ. Enjoy!
"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." Matthew 6:2-4
Unfinished In my walk with Jesus I've noticed certain tendencies. One of which I'm calling The Unfinished. The story starts with something that's laid on my heart. Perhaps I feel led to ask certain questions, comment at certain times, or bring up a specific subject in a group. There is a delay as I pray to be sure the course is right and then I obey. And that is where the story ends...no result tangible to my eyes.Did I hear my Lord wrong? Was it a mistake? After seeking Him on the matter I've begun to understand that the impact a Christian makes while here on earth may not be revealed and we should not feel deprived. For it is not the rewards of humanity that we ought to seek. Until I am with my Lord in glory, I am content to leave those stories on a shelf, unfinished. © 2016 EJ NorrisAuthor's Note
