Mabu & Asura (An Elephant's Tale)A Story by EJ's HorrorWe Human's are a disease. As we progress throughout development and technology, we tend to forget the consequences on what we do to the little, or should I say big guys.Mabu, was a beautiful, healthy and friendly Elephant calf.
His mother was the matriarch of a majestic tribe of elegant, noble and peaceful Indian Elephants.
Mabu was not the only Calf, he had one childhood companion a baby cow called Asura.
Asura was a kind and beautiful elephant.
Together they roamed with the herd, composed of their female family and friends.
But Mabu had a deep sorrow, for he knew when the time had came, like all males of the tribe he had
to forsake the group and move out on his own.
This had deeply depressed them both.
On his tenth birthday, his mother had stamped her feet and signalled her trumpet and drove Mabu away.
Mabu had one last look at Asura and turned away to meet the horizon. Asura vowed to wait eternity
for his return, during the breeding year.
Mabu could not compete with the older and wiser Bulls that had drove him away when confronted.
Out of desperation, Mabu had to steal from a band of Humans who had cultivated delicious food.
One night, after days of successful raids, Mabu had been caught and captured by three farmers.
Two wanted to kill him, because he was a nuisance and nearly starved them to death.
Then the third Farmer, stood in the way of the other two's guns and stated, “If we murder this
creature, wouldn't we be just as bad as him?”
The third Farmer luckily knew and Australian Zoologist who would have been happy to take Mabu
away and give him a good home.
Mabu had felt, frighten and scared. He was thrown into a dark wooden box on a small shipping
vessel. Mabu had been taunted and
insulted by the Australian's underpaid subordinates.
One night, Mabu could hear the Humans scream in pain and agony as a band of Tigers were
accidentally let loose.
The Humans were unable to react in time and were all viciously slaughtered. This had brought
happiness and joy to Mabu.
Mabu celebrated with a triumph of happy stamps and a trumpet chorus to match.
But …
If the horrible Humans were dead …
Who would turn this vessel around?
Who would fill Mabu's water trough up?
Who will feed Mabu?
What will happen when the Tigers become hungry and aware of Mabu?
Hopefully, Asura had not kept her word.
