PassionA Poem by EJ1I was born with mild Cerebral Palsy effecting my waist down. I've always walked with crutches. This expresses hatred/appreciation/dedication for my ultimate dream. Teaching myself to walk.
Why does the unexpected happen and why only to some.
What happened to them what was the reason They only want what's taken for granted and their lives follow suit. Every step, teardrop and prayer make your strife stronger Yet gravity pulls you backward as you fight for true life. without support you fall apart, beaten and bruised but rise again inspired by ongoing opposition. Filled with passions all your life never stopping practice until they suffice. Everyone knows that true dreams never die sometimes hidden but never-forbidden nor forgotten Within ones mind Each day worse, faking life's smiles and laughs, awaiting redemption. Ready to prove you meant what you said, hours of sweat, tears and pain, but, Trying your best is never good enough when your bound by your own handcuffs. Craving your freedom, silence the doubt, do what was always impossible, prove your worth, because, One day you'll realize enough is enough That your the worst enemy to yourself. As you try to establish true happiness it's better to fail then to never try, npride is earned not given. They say they believe, yet with years faith you know that game They snicker and laugh, karma acclaimed, Mabye rearranged When alone, Standing up, you weep for what you love you endure passion for something that may never come Is it worth it? I may never know Yet, I'll never stop trying Making life better is our ultimate goal Through Hell's paths we travel - Everyone tries to corrupt our souls It's impossible, quit that, give up this dream!- yet I say With every fall, shaky step and teardrop I begin to forgive my genes, because The day I walk alone will be a new chance to believe We must endure Hell to achieve our dreams Because my payoff is everything to me abandonment is the symbol of death. Your chosen fate causes your happiness theft Passion builds character so take what your given, work until you are finally forgiven Many nights I cry wishing anew, then remember what it means, Why It's worth hanging on for dreams because one day only happy tears will stream Hard work makes you appreciate, retaliate With blessed sighs, sun kissed smiles and heartfelt goodbyes © 2015 EJ1Author's Note
