Denial

Denial

A Poem by Claire
"

Poem one in a five part series about the stages of grief.

"
I saw your favorite flower today
I picked it to give to you now.
I know what you’re going to say:
“You should have let it grow.”
But my darling, I loved it so,
Its bright colors spoke to me.
I don’t understand why you had to go,
Is this some trick that I don’t see?
It must be, you wouldn’t leave,
That’s a silly thing to say.
Here my love, come sit down,
Let me tell you about my day…
