A Place To Live

A Place To Live

A Poem by Elliott Laurence
"

Fighting has left their home uninhabitable

"

The site is dead from all the fighting

Our moon is no more for the bombs have shattered its core

Its remnants further shred our land

We no longer know daylight from night

We can no longer reside here

Our nostrils, lungs, throat burn from the poisoned air

Now we navigate the universe seeking a place to live

We will discover a new home

Seek the enemy, strike swiftly

 Defend our territory, live
